I feel for this gal,

I feel for this gal, I went through 3 foster homes and was adopted at age 10. I was not allowed to stay in contact with my family and they were not allowed to have any contact with me until age 21. I was kicked out of my adopted home at age 17, 3 days after HS graduation and soon went searching for my family. I was unable to find them and joined the US Navy just after I turned 18.

My dad waited until I was 21 and sent a letter to try and contact me, my adopted parents finally gave the letter to me a few months after I turned 22, having held it for some months trying to decide whether to give it to me or not. I have had a close relationship with my father and family ever since. It is funny, my children have met my adopted parents about 6 times over the last 15 years on their little 2 or 3 hr visits, my dad on the other hand takes the time to make the four hour drive to visit us about ten times a year.

It is awfully tough not having close family and never really belonging, hopefully she finds some great people in her search, that maybe she will be able to call family some day.
